Welcome to the world of pre-schoolers, our newest and most exciting students yet! We call the pre-schoolers TAGB Tigers because they have unlimited energy and little fear. Like a tiger cub, everything is new, exciting and challenging to them.
The TAGB Tigers programme was developed specifically for pre-school aged children ages 4 through to 6. This programme offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect and discipline. In addition the programme is designed to improve children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. These are traits that all parents want for their children. All classes are taught using the most safe, fun and exciting instruction methods available for this age group to help them develop into future leaders.
We aspire to follow the concepts that are taught in pre-schools:
• 4-5 years old – emphasis is placed on gross and fine motor skills, social skills, social and emotional skills, cognitive development and language development.
• 5-6 years old – emphasis is placed on complex motor skills, cognitive development, basic understanding of numbers, reading information and performing up to their own ability.
Our TAGB Tigers programme is designed to encourage social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth in children. Pre school children have a shorter attention span and selective memories. We specialise in teaching these pre-schoolers and help improvement with attention span, memory, socialisation skills, courtesy, respect and discipline. It is our belief that following a Tigers path will give your child a fantastic start to their path of learning. Every parent wants their child to learn courtesy, discipline and respect – we have the ability to model your child to be future leaders.
The TAGB Tigers program works in conjunction with the Tae Kwon-Do for Kids programme, thereby emphasising the same important monthly themes and value system.
Just like in the Tae Kwon-Do for Kids programme, TAGB Tigers have their own unique “achievement patch” and “achievement stars”. Stars are earned in the same way as for the tae kwon do for kids programme with slight modifications in recognition of the pre-school age of the child. Four different achievement coloured patches are available to accommodate all the stars that can earn by a high achieving TAGB Tiger. Apart from the logo, the 4 “achievement patches” are the same as the tae kwon do for kids patches.
Upon graduation from the TAGB Tigers programme into the tae kwon do for kids programme, Tigers are rewarded by the opportunity to wear the tkd for kid’s patch.
